January 14, 2008 | Hi-Tech NewsNASA Aims For February 7th Atlantis LaunchNASA has come out and stated that they are currently planning to lauch the Atlantis shuttle on February 7th. NASA plans to launch the space shuttle Atlantis to the International Space Station very soona s they have fixed the faulty fuel-level readings.
This comes two months after the original launch attempt was done. The Atlantis has a mission to carry the European laboratory, Columbus, to the International Space Station.

The February 7th launch will put the shuttle's arrival to the International Space Station behind that of the Russian Progress cargo which will launch on the same day from Kazakhstan.
NASA stated that the date is very tentative. NASA spokesman James Hartsfield stated "The date is now under evaluation. There's not an official launch date yet."
With the fuel sensor just about fixed, NASA is almost ready to go with Atlantis.
