This year CompMechLab for the third time wins the ANSYS Wallplanner Competition organized by ANSYS, Inc. since 2002. Only four companies including CompMechLab succeeded to win three times in different years of the Competition history.
In December 2007 CompMechLab prepared and submitted to the jury the image illustrating the project Finite element 3D thermal and thermo-structural analysis of the catalytic cracking device.
The catalytic cracking deviceis one of the major components of the oil-and-gas industry equipment complex. It participates in technological process of oil fractions splitting into base components of high-quality aviation and automobile gasolines.

The image submitted was included into the list of 12 best presented at the ANSYS Wallplanner 2008. After announcing the winners ANSYS, Inc. distibuted the wallplanner among the partners and clients - thousands of world leading industial companies, technology centers and universities.
Along with CompMechLab the list of 2008 winners includes companies Airbus, Chiavetta S.p.A. (Italy), Enginesoft (Italy), German Aerospace Center DLR (Germany), Heller (Germany), Merak S.A. (Spain), Riello Burners (Italy), VCE (Austia); and universities Brunel University (U.K.), DeMonfort University (U.K), Hochschule Lusern (Switzerland).
In 2003 CompMechLab was the first Russian representative among the ANSYS Wallplanner Competition, and St.Petersburg State Polytechnical University - first winning university.
The project-winner of 2003 was Finite element modeling and modal analysis of the gas turbine unit turbocompressor.

In 2004 CompMechLab submitted winning image illustrating the project Finite element modeling and heat transfer analysis of the radiotelescope RT-70 basic reflector.
