CompMechLab publication in ANSYS Advantage

In the December issue of ANSYS Advantage magazine the article Designing Safe Crackers by A. Michailov, I. Voinov and A. Borovkov is published. The artilce discovers some details about project performed in CompMechLab in 2007 at the request of chemical equipment manufacturer JSC Neftehimproekt and devoted to 3D structural analysis of a catalytic cracker taking into account the effects of external fluid flow as well as overall thermal and mechanical stress.



The ANSYS Advantage magazine is officialy issued by ANSYS Inc. every 3 month and showcases a broad range of engineering simulation capabilities through in-depth, industry-authored articles on various topics. Analysis tool articles offer tips on choosing the right simulation methods and discover new software capabilities from ANSYS. Authors of publications are FEA and Engineering experts from ANSYS Inc. and invited specialists from industrial and academic organizations.

Preceeding to this publication CompMechLab won the ANSYS Wallplanner Competition with illustration of this project.
