Russia's Kamov Picks Dassault for Helicopter Engineering Dassault Systems (DS), a world leader in 3D and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solutions, announced that Kamov Corporation, a world leader in helicopter engineering, is starting the deployment of CATIA, Dassault Systems’ industry-leading virtual design solution, and ENOVIA SmarTeam, Dassault Systems’ project management and collaboration solution. Kamov is transforming its business with PLM, moving from 2D drawings to a 3D virtual modeling paradigm. Its use of CATIA PLM Express - the Dassault Systems’ solution combining the power of CATIA’s design excellence with ENOVIA SmarTeam’s collaborative virtual product information management - will optimize the work of Kamov engineers and designers and speed time to market. It is the largest implementation of Dassault Systems PLM in Russian helicopter industry history.

Dassault Systemes Announces New Student Edition of Abaqus Unified FEA from SIMULIA
Dassault Systemes (DS) announced the release of Abaqus Student Edition Version 6.7, Unified Finite Element Analysis (FEA) software from SIMULIA. Abaqus Student Edition provides engineering students with the same state-of-the art technology included in the professional version of Abaqus. The student edition is available for purchase online and is priced at only (US). New features in this release include improved architecture for high-performance linear dynamics, advanced simulation capabilities for nonlinear materials and composites, and a highly customizable user interface for accelerated model building and results visualization.
The Abaqus Student Edition includes the core Abaqus products: Abaqus/Standard, Abaqus/Explicit, and Abaqus/CAE.
