Finite element modeling and modal analysis of the gas turbine unit turbocompressor

Vibration analysis of the gas turbine turbocompressor is carried out. Modal FE analysis is performed with use of ANSYS 5.6 in order to offset from resonance frequencies.

Main components of the turbocompressor that are included into 3D FE model are: compressor casing, combustion chamber casing, stiffening ribs, rotor containing 15 stages of compressor and 4 stages of gas turbine.

3D FE model contains 210312 DOF, elements SOLID95, COMBIN14, SHELL93 and BEAM4.
