| Project Title: |
Finite element modeling and heat transfer analysis of the radiotelescope RT-70 basic reflector |
| Industry: | Mechanical Engineering Telecommunications
|
| Keywords: |
Full-revolving radiotelescope, main reflector, thermal state |
| Software: |
ANSYS |
| Year: |
2004 |
In the current project finite element modeling and heat transfer (arising from Sun heating) analysis of the radiotelescope RT-70 basic reflector is executed.
The unique construction (being in use all over the world) creation experience is analyzed and full-revolving radiotelescope mechanical problems are classified. As the first priority research problem the full-revolving radiotelescope finite element thermal analysis is chosen.
The mathematical and 3D finite element models (intended for the radiotelescope basic reflector thermal field research)are developed. These models allow defining temperatures in various radiotelescope basic reflector's points, in various climatic conditions and during various time of the day with a high conformity degree.
